Always plan your work

One Night 4 college students were playing till late night and could not
study for the test which was scheduled for the next day.

In the morning they thought of a plan. They made themselves look as dirty
with grease and dirt. They then went up to the Dean and said that they had

gone out to a wedding last night and on their return the tire of their car
burst and they had to push the car all the way back and that they were
in
no condition to appear for the test.

So the Dean said they could have the re-test after 3 days. They thanked him
and said they would be ready by that time.

On the third day they appeared before the Dean. The Dean said that as
this
was a Special Condition Test, all four were required to sit in separate
classrooms for the test. They all agreed as they had prepared well in
the  last 3 days.

The Test consisted of 2 questions with a total of 100 Marks.

"Don't be serious, be sincere."!!

Speech by Chetan Bhagat at Symbiosis ...

Don’t just have career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced, successful life. I use the word balanced before successful. Balanced means ensuring your health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order. There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your breakup. There is no fun in driving a car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable if your mind is full of tensions.

"Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same is with life where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die. ……………….

One thing about nurturing the spark - don't take life seriously. Life is not meant to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up? …………….

It's ok, bunk a few classes, scoring low in couple of papers, goof up a few interviews, take leave from work, fall in love, enjoy with ur frnds, care for your parents, spend with ur siblings and  little fights with your spouse. We are people, not programmed devices........." :)

Life is to be happy, make others happy.............:)

Meaning of Life : [Fun]Perception, Taste & Priorities !!!! (worth reading)

These sort of things will be organized very rarely and most often we miss them  :)
Be conscious my dear friend.  Enjoy your day  :)

Washington, DC Metro Station on a cold January morning in 2007.  The man with a violin played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes.  During that time approximately two thousand people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.  After 3 minutes a middle aged man noticed there was a musician playing.  He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried to meet his schedule.

4 minutes later:

The violinist received his first dollar: a woman threw the money in the hat and, without stopping, continued to  walk.

6 minutes:

A young man leaned against the wall to listen to him, then looked at his watch and started to walk again.

10 minutes:

A 3-year old boy stopped but his mother tugged him along hurriedly.  The kid stopped to look at the violinist again, but the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time.  This action was repeated by several other children..  Every parent, without exception, forced their children to move on quickly.

45 minutes:

The musician played continuously.  Only 6 people stopped and listened for a short while.  About 20 gave money but continued to walk at their normal pace.  The man collected a total of $32.

1 hour:

He finished playing and silence took over.  No one noticed.  No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatest musicians in the world.  He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written, with a violin worth $3.5 million dollars.  Two days before, Joshua Bell sold out a theater in Boston where the seats averaged $100.

This is a true story.  Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment about perception, taste and people's priorities.  The questions raised: in a commonplace environment at an inappropriate hour, do we perceive beauty?  Do we stop to appreciate it?  Do we recognize talent in an unexpected context?

One possible conclusion reached from this experiment could be this: If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world, playing some of the finest music ever written, with one of the most beautiful instruments ever made..... How many other things are we missing?

Sachin Tendulkar dominates his sport comprehensively, but unlike them he is the sole focus of an entire nation and its quest for identity

Sachin Tendulkar, for giving me as many of those delicious awe-filled moments as any sporting genius of my time. Tendulkar is one of that narrow stratum of elite sports stars whom people will clamour and even make great sacrifices to watch, regardless of their national identity. If you care for cricket, you must love Sachin (and yes, that feeling can be found across Pakistan as well). In this regard, his peers are few - and mostly found in other sports, and certainly in other lands.
Sachin Tendulkar has been the most complete batsman of his time, and arguably the biggest cricket icon as well. His batting is based on the purest principles: perfect balance, economy of movement, precision in stroke-making, and that intangible quality given only to geniuses, anticipation. If he doesn't have a signature stroke - the upright, back-foot punch comes close - it is because he is equally proficient in each of the full range of orthodox shots (and plenty of improvised ones as well) and can pull them out at will.

Tendulkar's considerable achievements seem greater still when looked at in the light of the burden of expectations he has had to bear from his adoring but somewhat unreasonable followers, who have been prone to regard anything less than a hundred as a failure. The aura may have dimmed, if only slightly, as the years on the international circuit have taken their toll on the body, but Tendulkar remains, by a distance, the most worshipped cricketer in the world.

For all that, even genius has to remember that its MRF bat has seen so much cricket service, at 30+, that Ten is still young but not so young! What came instinctually to Sachin earlier needs a little more build-up,Sachin obliged espnstar with a brand-ambassador century certainly made his batting persona come through as even more telegenic

Sachin Tendulkar's entry into world cricket was very much hyped up by former Indian stars and those who had seen him play. By scoring his first half-century in his second match and his first century aged 17, Tendulkar's consistent performances earned him a fan following across the globe, including amongst Australian crowds, where Tendulkar has consistently scored centuries.[41] One of the most popular sayings by Sachin's fans is "Cricket is my religion and Sachin is my God".[83] Cricinfo mentions in his profile that "...Tendulkar remains, by a distance, the most worshipped cricketer in the world."

‘If Cricket Is a Religion, Sachin is God’
No need to ask, cricket is a religion in our country and Tendulkar is the epitome of it. There’s a huge visibility to Sachin, but I look beyond visibility. I look at his character and hunger (for the game)”.SACHIN "The God of Cricket",he proved it with completing his 20 years in international cricket and 17 thousand runs in one day cricket ,highest run getter in test cricket & 30 thousand runs in international cricket.when sir sachin started his carrier at the age of 16 year i was in std 5,i have seen him through out his carrier how the genius is playing fearlessly & devotedly for his country.many cricketers and famous people recommended sachin as best best man after sir don brad-man,in fact i have not seen him to play . i think sir sachin is the replica of sir don brad man not next to him.why ? because they never come across to each other during their carrier.so i think both are the best batsman of their respective era.

The comment on sachin by political leaders is totally inhuman, being a God sir have to forgive them.

AT LAST I WANT TO SAY,WE SHOULD RESPECT SIR SACHINE LIKE A GOD.BECAUSE HE HAS GIVEN HIS WHOLE LIFE TO INDIAN CRICKET AS GREAT PATRIOT.

Elephant Thinking

Well, today here I restart my share of learning with you all. Have you heard about “Elephant Thinking”???

Trust me, this is not thinking as big as an elephant. J We all must have seen elephants trained either in circus or on road sides in smaller towns or in temple entrance. Have you ever thought, those elephants always wishes to do whatever its trainer says? Hmmm, no one will like to always do whatever their trainer says right? But elephants become huge enough to escape from its trainer, why does it not escape then?

Let me tell you the reason now… whey they begin to train an elephant, they chain the baby elephant’s leg to a pole in the ground. The baby elephant wants to get away. It pulls and tugs, but it can’t escape – the chain is too big and the pole is too deep in the ground. So, it stops trying. As it grows up, it just ASSUMES that it can’t get away. Today, when it would be a six-ton elephant, it could sneeze and pull out that chain – but it doesn’t even try. Trainers say they can put a piece of string around that six-ton elephant’s leg and it won’t break away. How sad really, isn’t it?

Such assumptions are called as ASSUMED CONSTRAINTS as per Kenneth Blanchard, the one minute manager series author. I was reading this book and realized that in some ways we all have this Elephant Thinking. That means, we never try to do something now which was in our previous failure.

“An Assumed Constraint is a belief you have, based on past experience that limits your current and future experiences.” – Ken Blanchard.

We will check our interesting technical part from Monday as I have learnt a lot about Self-Leadership during Weekends :) .

Have a Great Day!

Telangaana -- Why or Jai ??

Telangana or Telingana (Teluguà°¤ెà°²ంà°—ాà°£) is a region in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It literally means "land of telugus". The telugu language originated here.It more or less corresponds to that portion of the state which was previously part of the princely state of Hyderabad
Some info i found about telangana .........

History : Telangana region was mentioned in the Mahabharata as the Telinga Kingdom which said to be inhabited by the tribe known as Telavana and said to have fought on the Pandava side in the great war of Mahabharata

Telangana was never under direct British rule, unlike Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions of Andhra Pradesh, which were part of British India's Madras Presidency.

Post-independence history

India became independent from the British Empire in 1947. The Nizam of Hyderabad wanted to retain his independence, but the Indian Government amalgamated his state of Hyderabad by force on September 17, 1948 after the successful execution of Operation Polo by the Indian Army. When India became independent, the Telugu-speaking people (although Urdu is spoken in some parts of Telangana districts) were distributed in about 22 districts; 9 of them in the Telangana region of Nizam's Dominions (Hyderabad State), 12 in the Madras Presidency and one in French-controlled Yanam.

Merger of Telangana and Andhra

In December 1953, Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru appointed the States Reorganization Commission to prepare for the creation of states on linguistic lines.
The States Reorganization Commission (SRC) was not in favour of merging the Telangana region with the then Andhra state. Para 382 of States Reorganization Commission Report (SRC) said "..opinion in Andhra is overwhelmingly in favour of the larger unit, public opinion in Telangana has still to crystallize itself". The concerns of Telanganas were manifold. The region had a less developed economy than Andhra, but a larger revenue base (mostly because it taxed rather than prohibited alcoholic beverages), which Telanganas feared might be diverted for use in Andhra. They also feared that planned dam projects on the Krishna and Godavari rivers would not benefit Telangana proportionately even though Telanganas controlled the headwaters of the rivers. Telanganas feared too that the people of Andhra would have the advantage in jobs, particularly in government and education. Para 386 of States Reorganization Commission Report (SRC) said "After taking all these factors into consideration we have come to the conclusions that it will be in the interests of Andhra as well as Telangana area is to constitute into a separate State, which may be known as the Hyderabad State with provision for its unification with Andhra after the general elections likely to be held in or about 1961 if by a two thirds majority the legislature of the residency Hyderabad State expresses itself in favor of such unification."
However, the Gentlemen's agreement was never implemented. For example: According to the agreement, the new state was supposed to be called 'Andhra-Telangana'. This was not followed. Andhra leadership unilaterally named the state Andhra Pradesh. As per the agreement, if the Chief Minister of the new state is from Andhra, Deputy CM post should be handled by one from Telangana and vice-versa. This too has never been followed. Even when the first Chief Minister (from Andhra) sweared in, the deputy CM post was not filled. So the Gentlemen's agreement was broke in letter and spirit on the very first day.
Hope ..................its fine.

/**************************
I dont think you are  from Telanagana region or our United AndharaPradesh. Any way I belongs to So called Telangana region ( Generally i felt I am under Osmania University when went  Engineering Counseling ) .

Vivekananda Vedanta Lecture - Spirituality, The Gift of India

Each nation must give in order to live. When you give life, you will have life; when you receive, you must pay for it by giving to all others; and that we have been living for so many thousands of years is a fact that stares us in the face, and the solution that remains is that we have been always giving to the outside world, whatever the ignorant may think.

"Our religion is truer than any other religion, because it never conquered, because it never shed blood, because its mouth always shed words of blessing, of peace, words of love and sympathy, on all."

The gift of India is the gift of religion and philosophy, and wisdom and spirituality. And religion does not want cohorts to march before its path and clear its way. Wisdom and philosophy do not want to be carried on floods of blood. Wisdom and philosophy do not march upon bleeding human bodies, do not march with violence but come on the wings of peace and love, and that has always been so. Therefore we had to give.
